Therapy Intensives for Christian Women Healing from Heartbreak
Individual therapy intensives in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and virtually across New York, New Jersey, and South Carolina
When Your Heart Needs More Than Another Conversation
You may have tried to move on.
You may have prayed, journaled, talked to friends, read Scripture, stayed busy, gone to therapy, served others, and kept showing up. But certain memories still sting. Certain patterns keep repeating. Certain losses still feel unfinished. Certain parts of you still feel guarded, disappointed, ashamed, angry, or afraid to trust again.
Heartbreak does not only happen when a relationship ends. Sometimes heartbreak is the betrayal you never expected, the marriage you hoped would last, the childhood wounds you learned to normalize, the emotional neglect you had to survive, or the slow grief of realizing someone could not love you the way you needed.
An individual therapy intensive gives you dedicated time to stop rushing past your pain and finally sit with what your heart has been trying to tell you.
Focused, Faith-Informed Therapy for Women Ready to Heal Deeply
Sometimes weekly therapy is not enough for the season your heart is in.
You may be healing from heartbreak, betrayal, divorce, separation, relational grief, or childhood wounds that still affect how you love, trust, and see yourself. You may be showing up for life, work, family, and faith, but still feel like parts of your heart are carrying pain no one else can see.
At NYC Healing Center, our individual therapy intensives give Christian women focused therapeutic space to slow down, process what has been carried, and begin healing at the root.
This May Be Right for You If
You may be ready for an individual intensive if you:
Are healing from heartbreak, betrayal, divorce, or separation
Feel stuck in relational grief or emotional pain
Keep repeating the same patterns in love, attachment, or trust
Have childhood wounds that still affect your adult relationships
Feel emotionally exhausted from being “the strong one”
Want therapy that honors both your faith and your emotional reality
Need more focused support than a weekly session can provide
Want a clearer understanding of why you feel stuck
Are ready to invest in deeper healing, not just temporary relief
What an Individual Intensive Can Help You Explore
Your intensive is personalized based on your story, your goals, and what we identify during the pre-intensive process.
Depending on your needs, the work may focus on:
Heartbreak and relational grief - Processing the loss of a relationship, the dream you had for it, and the version of yourself that existed inside of that season.
Betrayal and broken trust - Understanding the emotional impact of betrayal and beginning to rebuild a sense of safety, dignity, and self-trust.
Divorce or separation recovery - Making space for grief, anger, identity shifts, disappointment, and the process of rebuilding life after relational loss.
Childhood wounds and attachment patterns - Exploring how early experiences shaped the way you attach, protect yourself, love, avoid, pursue, or tolerate pain.
Identity and self-worth - Reconnecting with who you are beyond the relationship, the wound, the rejection, the divorce, or the role you had to carry.
Faith and emotional healing - Making room for God, prayer, Scripture, spiritual questions, disappointment, and hope as part of the healing process.
Inspired by Rewiring Your Heart
This intensive is connected to the heart of Tabitha Azor’s book, Rewiring Your Heart, a Christian healing guide for women navigating heartbreak, betrayal, grief, and emotional pain.
The book was written for women who know what it feels like to carry pain quietly while still trying to believe, function, and move forward. The intensive takes that same healing focus and brings it into a personalized therapeutic experience.
For women choosing the full-day intensive, Rewiring Your Heart is included as part of the package. Selected reflections from the book may be used before, during, or after the intensive to help you continue processing what God is healing in your heart.

What Happens Before Your Intensive?
Every intensive begins with preparation so the work is focused and personalized.
You will begin by completing pre-intensive paperwork that helps us understand your story, your current pain points, and what you are hoping to receive from the experience.
You will also have a 30-60 or 60-90 minute pre-intensive session to clarify the direction of the intensive. This helps us determine what the session should focus on, whether that is heartbreak, betrayal, divorce recovery, childhood wounds, attachment patterns, grief, faith, identity, or a specific relational wound.
This preparation allows the intensive to become more than a long therapy session. It becomes a focused therapeutic experience built around what your heart needs in this season.
What Happens During the Intensive?
The structure of your intensive depends on the individualized goals and plan we create for you.
Your session may include emotional processing, attachment-based exploration, parts work, reflection on younger parts of you that learned to survive, nervous system support, grief work, faith-informed reflection, and identifying relational patterns that have shaped how you love and protect yourself.
You may explore questions like:
Why does this still hurt so much?
What part of me feels stuck in that season?
What did this relationship awaken or reopen in me?
What patterns did I learn early in life that still shape how I attach in relationships?
What do I need to grieve, release, repair, or reclaim?
What is God inviting me to heal in this season?
The goal is not to force emotion or rush closure. The goal is to create a safe, grounded space where your story can be held with care and where deeper healing can begin.
What Happens After the Intensive?
After the 3-hour intensive, recommendations are given during the session so you leave with clarity about what to focus on next.
After the full-day intensive, you will receive a written personalized report. This report may include themes from the intensive, patterns identified, tools discussed, reflection prompts, resources, and recommendations for your next steps.
Your next steps may include continued therapy, another intensive, personal reflection work, selected prompts from Rewiring Your Heart, faith-informed practices, grief work, relational boundary work, or other recommendations based on what emerged during the intensive.
The intensive is not the end of your healing. It is a focused beginning, reset, or turning point.
What an Intensive Can and Cannot Do
An intensive is not a quick fix.
One 3-hour or full-day session cannot erase heartbreak, undo betrayal, heal childhood wounds, or complete the grief process overnight. Deep healing often requires continued attention, support, and practice over time.
What an intensive can do is give you focused space to understand what has been happening inside of you, identify the emotional patterns keeping you stuck and get them unstuck, process pain with support, and leave with a clearer sense of what continued healing may need to look like next.
This work is for women who are ready to engage honestly and gently with their hearts.
Faith-Informed Care for Christian Women
Your faith is welcome here. This intensive is designed for Christian women who want therapy that can hold both emotional pain and spiritual truth. You can talk about God, prayer, Scripture, disappointment, forgiveness, grief, obedience, anger, hope, and the places where your faith feels strong or tender.
Faith is not used to rush your healing or silence your pain. Instead, it is held with care as part of the deeper work God may be doing in your heart.
Is This the Right Fit?
This intensive may be a good fit if you are ready to process heartbreak, betrayal, divorce, relational grief, or childhood wounds in a focused therapeutic space.
It may not be the right fit if you are in an active suicidal crisis, experiencing a severe unmanaged mental health crisis, in an active substance abuse crisis, needing emergency care, seeking court-ordered evaluation or documentation, or looking for a quick fix without engaging emotionally.
If a different level of care is more appropriate, we will offer recommendations for next steps.
